The lichen flora of Karelia is known to comprise 114 nemoral species. Data on their distribution in the republic at large and among biogeographical provinces of East Fennoscandia are provided. Distinctions were found in the patterns of nemoral lichen species distribution across Karelia. Problems of the time of arrival and migration pathways of the species in the region are discussed.
