Karelian fauna of the genus Temnostoma (Diptera, Syrphidae) is reviewed. Five species have been found: Temnostoma angustistriatum Krivosheina, T. apiforme F., T. carens Gaunitz, T. sericomyiaeforme Portschinsky and T. vespiforme L. All specimens earlier identified as T. bombylans F. proved to belong to the recently described T. angustistriatum. The species checklist with detailed geographical records based on original materials and literature data, as well as distribution maps are provided.
